Good afternoon, I would like to send a letter of appreciation for the manner in which Amanda assisted me with a query this afternoon. In the past I’ve had a few problems with One Plan call centre agents, one of which being my husband not being added to my policy after I phoned and emailed in on this. Long story short he ended up in Hospital seriously ill and we didn’t have any cover for him. (This matter was resolved after, but I still had to make payments up to R2100.00 to cover this unhappy event) Understandably I was very apprehensive after this, and started looking for a medical aid that I could count on.

 

I found out last week Wednesday that I was pregnant with my first child. Of course I was very nervous about the news, since this is completely unplanned and absolutely a miracle, and I emailed One Plan mail nabeel.a@oneplan.co.za on Tuesday to find out what my responsibilities toward One Plan is, and also what is covered. To this day I’ve received no response.

 

Yesterday I thought that Nabeel may no longer be in the employ of One Plan, so I mailed info@oneplan.co.za  When I again received no answer I opted to phone the call centre, something I don’t like to do, because I’ve received wrongful information in the past, when I was lucky enough to have the phone answered in time. I have to say that I truly had a low opinion of One Plan, and that I regretted ever telling friends and colleagues about the insurance, many of whom joined. This is where Amanda comes in, my phone rang only twice and she answered very friendly and upbeat. (This already turned my mood right around)

 

I explained to Amanda that I was pregnant and that I needed more information about One Plan’s policy w.r.t. pregnancy, she immediately congratulated me and gave me all the information I was looking for and even answered some silly questions I had. When I had a question she wasn’t sure about she didn’t brush me off, but took the time to make sure and gave me an informed answer. Even more than that I asked that she send me the information via email so I can go through this with my husband in the calm of my home. She didn’t hesitate and immediately took my details while I held the line.

 

Then she gave me some more general information while she waited to confirm that the email was delivered. The email didn’t go through and she immediately suggested that she would try mailing from a colleagues mail. Long story short I have the mail and am very grateful to Amanda for making this a pleasant experience in all.
Due to the service I’ve received from Amanda today, I will not be moving my family to a medical aid. To Amanda Thanks so much, and keep up the good job!

I visited the Oneplan office on 13th September 2011 to sort out account problems as well as chronic meds for my husband and myself. “I joined One plan about a year ago, my husband visted the doctor beginning September I did not know the claim procedure and neither did the lady at the doctors rooms, I was a bit agitated and decided to pay my account fully.

A few days later I called One plan and I expected all sorts of excuses for them not to honor my claim instead I was absolutely surprised by the excellent manner in which this lady handled my query and went the extra mile to assist me to an extent where my contact details were immediatly taken and I was called back within seconds this to prevent me from incurring telephone expense this is a sevice one does not expect in South Africa I must commend Oneplan for having such professional people on board.

Thank you for your kind assistance i.r.o. my enquiries yesterday. I do not quite know how to express my gratitude towards OnePlan for the friendly and professional way they assisted me during the past two months.

Around the middle of September, I was diagnosed with cancer and had to undergo an emergency left radical nephrectomy. I must admit, along with the shock, came hundreds of concerns about how I was going to pay for everything, but these soon disappeared in the mist when I was promptly assisted in getting the procedure authorized. The necessary guarantees were faxed to the hospital which ensured a quick and smooth admission, followed by only the best care I could ever imagine. I stayed in ICU for seven days after the operation, and not once was I or my family bugged by hospital staff saying that there were no more funds available or that we needed to make an extra payment.

Besides paying all the bills promptly, and to my surprise, (a very pleasant one) OnePlan made a very welcome payment directly into my bank account – and explained that I could see it as a token of compensation for the discomfort of being hospitalized, and experiencing pain. I felt like I was talking to a friend when receiving a call from you, because I was asked how I felt now and if I was recovering well before the conversation went over to business.

I could not afford the extremely high payments of a normal medical aid and decided to join OnePlan because I knew that no-one can really afford to be without any cover at all. It is now my opinion that joining them was the best decision I have ever made. They have made a difference when I really needed it most.

This accident put me down a lot and if I didn’t have OnePlan I’m not sure what I would have done. From the minute I got to causality the lady called in and 10 min later all was cleared and I was attended to immediately. Dear One Card Management

From the time that myself and my family first found out and then joined the One Card plan, we have been extremely taken with the entire concept and have been eager to spread the word managing to recruit quite a few companies and individuals using Helio e Sa, a consultant at One Card.  Helio e Sa has been an absolute gem.  I am extremely impressed with his customer service level which I believe adheres to international standards.  South Africa is well known for bad service as I’m sure many have experienced and probably one of the reasons, this young man caught and held my attention.  Turn around time is excellent.  Telephone manner is awesome and product knowledge a real blessing because there is nothing worse than chatting to a consultant who doesn’t have a clue about the product that they are promoting.

Although I now live and run a company in Johannesburg , my hometown is East London in the Eastern Cape and I visited for a week recently.  The moment I started talking about One Card, I managed to hold everyone’s attention.  There are many many companies and individuals extremely interested.  Wendy Sangerhausen from Red Alert has her entire company interested so I’ve given her details to Helio whom, I have no doubt, will sort and sign them up.  I am putting the word out and people are calling me with regards to the insurance.  Once we have enough companies and individuals interested in the Eastern Cape, it might be a good idea to send Helio through to attend the meetings as he will be able to answer all the questions asked.

I’d like to thank you for putting One Card together and I have no doubt that 99% of South Africans will join the moment they’re aware of it.  The plan is affordable, covers a whole lot and has excellent staff.  The right recipe for success in my opinion.
